As the esteemed NurseCore Regional Vice President Meg Newhall in New York state prepares to bid adieu to her three-decade-long career, she takes a moment to reflect on the milestones and memories that have shaped her tenure.
Meg Newhall’s journey with NurseCore began with a leap of faith. Having owned a successful medical staffing and home care company in New England, she seized the opportunity to join NurseCore upon relocating to Saratoga Springs, NY, marking the commencement of a fruitful chapter in her professional life. Throughout her tenure, Meg valued the close relationships she formed with colleagues and team members. She prioritized mentorship, particularly with branch directors, emphasizing teamwork and profitability.
“Over the years, Meg has demonstrated the ability to lead her teams to success, no matter the challenges. She has encouraged her teams to ‘be on fire’ for growth — and have some fun while doing it,” President and CEO Deborah Lollar. “Her support of her teams continues to be demonstrated by the tenure and loyalty of the staff in each of her New York offices.”
Meg’s career progression within NurseCore was marked by steady growth. From her initial role in business development to her eventual ascent to Regional Vice President, she demonstrated unwavering dedication and made notable contributions along the way. Winning the Larry & Sharon Carr award in 2018 stands as a testament to her outstanding achievements.
Reflecting on NurseCore’s culture, Meg acknowledges the influence of NurseCore founder Larry Carr’s emphasis on professionalism and growth, principles she has always upheld.
“One of the most fun things I’ve done was book limousines to escort members of our Albany office to Saratoga Springs for a dinner celebration,” Meg reminisced of the time that office celebrated continuous sales of over $160K per week. “It was totally fun!”
“I have had the privilege of working with Meg since 2008 and have enjoyed being part of her many contributions to NurseCore,” said Deborah. “Along the way, we have worked hard together but also laughed together at the various situations we have encountered. Personally, and with the entire NurseCore team, we wish her the best on her new journey!”
As she looks forward to retirement, Meg plans to pursue her passion for jewelry making and artistry, while maintaining her commitment to daily aerobic exercise.
Offering advice to colleagues and future employees, she stresses the importance of communication and setting achievable goals. Looking back on her career, Meg harbors no regrets and leaves a simple yet impactful message: “Keep your eyes on the prize.”
